Teapot collection

I mentioned in my Tuesday post about Calyspo St. Barth for Target that I wanted the elephant teapot for my collection. My teapot collection is pretty new. It began a few months ago when my friend, Alisha, rebloged a photo of a teapot collection on tumblr.

It had never occurred to me to collect teapots. I do love hot tea and I was surprised by how beautiful the display was and became convinced that a teapot collection would solve any and all of the design problems in my kitchen.

Plus, I think I needed something small to collect. It helps when you’re at an auction to grease the wheels and bid on something small so you feel obligated to stick around for the big item you want because you already have to pay for something, and it’s nice to not end a day of thrifting and antiquing empty-handed.

So I decided I collect teapots. Every Thursday on So Eclectic, I’ll share a teapot or other tea-related thing with you.
