I told Mary yesterday that I’m at the point in winter where all I want for Christmas is to be warm. I have been so cold at work that I emailed Kyle to tell him to amend my Christmas list to include a new space heater. So, with the cold weather in mind, this week’s tea party is white winter themed. Maybe it’s that I think it goes well with natural woods and there’s something so cozy about thick off-white textiles. They always look so nice because the fur of my white cat and blonde dog don’t show up on them.

There are a lot of little things I really love in my treasury. The white on white heart art is really cool. It would have a great texture and the little red heart in the corner is such a great hint of red. It would make a wonderful gift.

I love the Christmas calendar. My mom just delivered my childhood handmade advent calendar this past weekend. It’s a quilted Christmas tree with little pouches that hold felted ornaments that velcro onto the tree. Even though I’m an adult, I’ve been really enjoying getting each ornament out and fastening it to the tree. I have so many fond memories of pulling them out and getting so excited to count down when Christmas will arrive.

The bubbly blanket and the felt wreath are so warm. I really love those felt flowers! And lately I’m really into the paper versions too. I think I just really really need to craft. I’ve scheduled a little winter-break staycation the week before Christmas where both Kyle and I will be off so I’m looking for some wintery crafts that I’ll want to keep up after the holiday.

It’s supposed to snow tonight so we’ll see how fond I am of white winters tomorrow morning!
