Every year HGTV does a Dream Home Sweepstakes. You can enter twice daily here. The awesome thing is that not only do you win the house but you also win a car and $500k. That’s pretty amazing. This year the home is in Park City, Utah which is about 45 minutes from Salt Lake City. Which, you know, when I win I’ll just be able to hop over to Alt Design Summit  (which is in 9 days). A girl can dream, right?

I’ve picked three aspects of the Dream Home that are unique and made me think of a space in a different way. Also, dreaming…

I love the blues, whites, and pops of red in this kitchen. I’m a sucker for pops of color mixed with wood, white, and metal. So that’s nothing new to me, but I’m most inspired by the open shelving in this space underneath that awesome gas cook top. This would totally make me keep my pans more organized if I knew everyone could see them, and also I love how accessible the pans feel.

It’s pretty awesome that a garage interior caught my eye as something to be inspired by. I don’t even have a garage right now, so again dreaming, but I love the chandeliers in here. I’m sure this isn’t something new but it’s new to me. Pretty.

The glass railing on this master porch (A master porch?! Cool.) allows for the land to still be seen without breaking up the view. This would be awesome on any porch. I’m sure much more expensive and I wonder what the maintenance is like (more glass cleaning, I’m sure)?

Make sure you go enter to win and dream up what you’d do if you won HGTV’s 2012 Dream Home. Would you sell? Or keep it? I’d love to know.
