I really love spring and summer because it means that parties aren’t trapped indoors. You can have natural sunlight in the afternoon, it cools down enough for dinner, and then you can chat by the light of the moon in the late evening. We have such a nice backyard that it’s great to feel like we’re taking full advantage of our space. I think it’s nice to find decor that blends your indoor party space with your outdoor party space, so I’ve collected some for today’s treasury.

I’ve always loved concrete as a medium… my engagement ring was even made of cement and stainless steel… so I thought I’d include a little. The candle holder and wall sconce are both concrete and the necklace is enclosed in it as well. Glass pairs pretty well with concrete, so I added some mirrors, sea glass, and painted glass vases to soften it a bit. Everything else in the treasury just adds color and vintage style!

Makes me antsy to make a pitcher of margaritas or sangria and have everyone up for an afternoon!

I’m really hoping that we’ll do a little bit more traveling this summer. I feel like I’ve lived within a day’s drive of Mount Rushmore for too long without having visited it. This summer might need to include some South Dakota. I’m sure that vacation would include some visits to cities I’ve never been before, but it’s not a bad idea to include some outdoors adventures as well. I think these Fully booked tents by FieldCandy are so cool. They’re a little out of my casual adventurer price range, but they’re fun to dream about.
